I have been a professional genealogist since 1987 and offer family history research services in Central, Eastern and South-Eastern Europe, as well as in Armenia, Cyprus and Egypt.

I specialise in 19th, 20th and 21st Century research and work through a network of trusted like-minded researchers with local expertise and contacts in the field. All nationalities and religions are researched, including Germans from Eastern Europe and Jewish.

Please contact me for free advice or a no-obligation assessment on genealogical research in the following areas:

Armenia – including Armenian research in Georgia and in some regions of modern Turkey e.g. Constantinople/Istanbul and Kars

Balkans and the former Yugoslavia – Albania, Bosnia-Hercegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro, Republika Srpska, Romania, Serbia and Slovenia

Baltic – Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania

Central Europe – Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia

Cyprus – Greek community only

Egypt – Greek communities only, e.g. in Alexandria, Cairo and Port Said

Former Soviet Union – Belarus, Moldova, Russia including Siberia and its Far East (plus Russian populations in Harbin and Shanghai) and Ukraine

Please note that in some of these jurisdictions local conditions are not always favourable for family history research.

My special interest is in population movement and resettlement, diasporas, Nansen passport stateless persons, post-WW2 Displaced Persons (DPs), and the multi-ethnic contact regions of Europe (such as Istria, Galicia/Galizien, Transylvania and Banat/Vojvodina).
